Facial vein removal is a treatment that deals with threadveins, spider veins, rosacea, vascular blemishes, spider naevi and telangiectasia.
Facial vein removal treatment is done to help with different cosmetic problems that are difficult to cover. We use advanced electrolysis alone or in combination with skin peels and microneedling (collagen induction therapy) These are specialised techniques which we apply to treat red veins, cherry spots, skin tags, moles and warts.
Treatment can be performed on the face and also on any other part of your body. The treatment can be used also on your legs, sometimes in combination with microsclerotherapy. It is a highly effective treatment that uses a process of thermocoagulation, which seals the thread vein walls. As a result, the veins will disappear.
Thermocoagulation process is based on high-frequency energy, delivered to each vein using a fine probe. Electrical current will cauterise the vein.
The vessels will disappear immediately after treatment and it will not form again. Other veins might develop in time in other areas.
The treatment is in general painless, some areas might be more sensitive than others – if it will be sensitive, topical anaesthetic cream will be used.
You will need to allocate 30 minutes for treatment.
Generally after one treatment the veins will disappear.
If there are any resistant vessels another session might be necessary.
The spider veins from legs might need two sessions or even a combination with microsclerotherapy.
Prices are from £ 135 for small areas.
Following treatment mild discomfort, redness and swelling might develop for 3-4 days. In some cases hyperpigmentation might be noticeable for a couple of months post treatment.
For a couple of days redness /swelling might be present but it will be possible to use make up to cover it. Sometimes dryness of the skin and even small crusts may occur and may last up to 4 weeks post treatment .
